Business operates like a samba percussion group. It requires different personalities doing different things to achieve a shared goal. With 25 years working in business as a digital marketer and 30 years as a musician, I bridge the gap between the corporate dynamic and creative energy.
This is why I created High Impact Percussion.
Using Brazilian Samba instruments, I take your team on a journey to the Rio Carnival. It is an exciting way to get everyone working together and have some serious fun.
No experience required. Just a willingness to get involved.
Not just Samba. We play rhythms from Queen, Bad Bunny, Bruno Mars and more.
The Result. You start in a quiet room and end as a confident, energetic percussion group.
Workshop PACKAGES

Up to 5 people - 1 instructor
An immersive, playful session where you’ll get hands-on with the instruments at your own pace. We’ll explore what makes samba so fun and unique, and we also dive into the modern grooves you hear today. This is a great way to create a fresh connection and a shared energy within a small team or department. -
5+ People - Two instructors minimum
We bring the soul of Rio directly to your team. In this session, we recreate the authentic atmosphere of a world-class Samba School. Led by two expert instructors (minimum), your group becomes a full percussion section, learning the exact patterns and signals used on the streets of Brazil.We work together through the rhythms, building toward a powerful, shared performance. It’s an incredible feeling to start the session with a quiet room and end it with a high-energy, performance. It’s loud, it's fun, and it’s a genuine taste of the world’s greatest party.

Up to 50 people - 2 percussion instructors and 1 dance lead (minimum)
This is the ultimate team experience and our most exciting package! We bring in professional samba dance instructors to work alongside our percussionists for a full-sensory experience. Your team splits up to master both the movement and the music at a comfortable pace, eventually coming together for a massive, high-energy finale.It’s an open and inclusive environment designed for everyone to participate—no matter your age or fitness level. We focus on the joy of the rhythm, creating a unique memory that feels like a genuine day in the heart of Rio.

Work usually happens from the neck up, but this is about your whole body. You’ll listen to the patterns, look for the cues, and feel the vibration of the drums.
It’s a total sensory reset that sharpens the mind and invites everyone to engage and have fun. The Rio sound is famous around the word for a reason! It’s impossible not to smile and feel energized.

Gareth Stapleton
The Bridge Between Business and Rhythm
With over 30 years as a musician and a degree in Music & Business, Gareth understands the intersection of discipline and creativity. Since moving to Stockholm from Londonin 2015, he has been a central figure in the Swedish scene, directing major international events with over 350 performers and leading workshops for groups across the country.
Beyond teaching, Gareth’s influence is global. He creates the professional backing tracks used for practice and performance by the world’s samba elite. Through his dedicated channels, he continues to develop and share the specific Rio-style techniques that keep the global samba community moving.
Claudio Altimirano
The Rio Drum Expert
Claudio over the last 25 years has become a pillar of the European samba community. Despite being Swedish with Chilean roots, his heart lives in Brazil and Rio de Janeiro. Since joining the legendary Estácio de Sá (Rio’s first-ever samba school) in 2015, he has earned a permanent spot among the genre’s elite. He performs in the Rio Carnival every year and has shared the stage with some of Brazil’s most famous musicians.
He is one of Europe’s most in-demand instructors because he offers something rare: he acts as a bridge between cultures. He blends the intuitive, high-energy learning style of the Rio samba schools with structured methods that work for everyone. He doesn't just teach you how to hit a drum; he teaches you how to feel the beautiful Rio "swing", and that is the most important thing in samba.
